Electrical Technician

One of the largest Steel Processing Organisations based in Sheffield specialising in Design Engineering and Project Management to the world’s process and other related industries are wishing to recruit an Electrical Techncian. Package includes a salary of £25,000 per year including shift allowance for a 3 shift system, 28 increasing to 33 days holidays including bank holidays and annual bonus.
You will ideally be apprentice trained and time served with experience of maintaining large heavy machinery such as Lathes, Borers, Machining Centres, portal and gantry type Milling Machines, Post and Ram type Boring Machines.
Other areas include AC & DC overhead cranes up to 200 tonnes, fabrication shop and welding equipment and general installation work. Knowledge of fault finding, CNC Machines, PLC systems specifically ABB and Allen Bradley, and use of programming tools along with knowledge of maintenance on Siemens, Heidenhain and Fanuc control systems as wellas maintaining the furnace control systems, calibrating of the controllers, and the air/gas tranducers, changing the thermocouples and lighting procedures of the furnaces when required.
